In the distance a single light
flickers and dies
Overhead the stars like golden fireflies
are winking in the forest of the night.
I have put on my corals and rubies
I have put on my robe of purest light
I have sewed my heart to the sleeve of my garment
Ich bin bereit.

Neve fresca sui campi
e lungo tutta la strada
fiori di gelo in boccio.
In lontananza una luce sola
trema e muore
In cielo le stelle come lucciole d’oro
lampeggiano nella foresta della notte.
Ho messo i miei coralli e rubini
Ho indossato il mio abito di pura luce
Ho cucito il mio cuore alla manica del vestito
Ich bin bereit*
